Who doesn’t love the color, texture, aroma, and beauty flowers bring to life? My wife and I have been blessed to have many varieties growing in our yard. When spring comes into full bloom the scent and colors are amazing. I find the combination of soft and bold colors against a background of deep green foliage enticing. Water drops on petals and leaves are like fascinating little lenses bringing sparks of light reflecting the sun – the source of light and life.
These paintings are works of love for the beautiful collaboration between gardener and nature. I treasure the time looking and understanding the nuanced play of color, light, and shadow that is unique to each bloom.
