Lithia Park & Ashland Series
The premiere of my Lithia Park & Ashland Landscape series is showing at 96 Main Gallery near the downtown Ashland Plaza. Ashland is endlessly beautiful and Lithia Park is everchanging and captivating. This series of paintings is mostly my response to the Lithia park in fall – a glorious time of year. These paintings are just the beginnings of what I plan to be an extensive exploration of the Ashland landscape.
About 96 Main Gallery
96 Main Gallery is a new, temporary showplace for myself and Ashland painter Bridget Reynolds, painter Kristine Ballenger, printmaker Denise Kester, glass artist Dan Seffinger, jewelry artist Jade Greene, and fabric artist Jo Ann Manzone. The beautiful gallery space is made available through the generosity of the owner of Lovejoy’s Tea House. Lovejoy’s Tea House will be moving into the space in about two months. So the gallery will and this series will be on view for a very short time.
I’m thrilled to be part of the revitalization of the arts in downtown Ashland as we bring art into spaces left vacant as a result of Covid-19 pandemic closures. It is a challenging, yet exciting time for the art community to reimagine this wonderful city and we hope that 96 Main Gallery is a shining example of the possibilities.
