Montana Haystacks - Oil on Linen, 20 x 16
These haystacks were found near the city of Polson in western Montana. There Montana’s “Big Sky” reputation is a reality. Montana is very close to my heart. It is where my wife grew up.
I am fortunate to visit the gorgeous country now and then and am inspired by its beauty and the down to earth people who live there. The beauty and the pace of life is an amazing contrast to life in Los Angeles. More Montana inspired paintings are in my plans for this year. I hope you enjoy this first in the series.

Michael Lynn, how are you finding time to be so prolific these days. Your haystacks are glorious. Stay fast to the journey you are on to pave a path to Montana. Having not been there myself in two dozen years, you have captured the vastness of the landscape. Stay true to your inspiration to continue with a series of grand-scale still lifes.
