I am thrilled to be the artist-in-residence at Lily Pad West Gallery’s show, VANITAS: Contemporary Florals, for the opening weekend July 16&17. Four of my flower paintings join the work, Jacqueline Kamin, Hagop Keledjian, Jean Lightman, Yana Movchan, Christopher Pierce, and John Traynor.
“Vanitas: Contemporary Florals” is re-imagining of the 16th and 17th-century tradition of vanitas through an optimistic lens, using the beauty of a blossom and the hope of Spring’s rebirth to act as symbols of life’s resilience.
Lily Pad West has partnered with florists to create sculptural renditions of works from the Lily Pad | West collection that will be displayed at the opening reception.
