From Sarasota to Thousand Oaks

Five paintings from the M Gallery Show on view in Thousand Oaks

Artichoke

"Artichoke" and four other paintings from M Gallery show on view, May 6 - June 30.

“Artichoke” which was featured in the March issue of American Art Collector magazine along with four other paintings from the recent show at M Gallery of Fine Art, Sarasota, FL, will be on view in Thousand Oaks, Calif. May 6 through July 11, 2010. They are part of an invitational art exhibit presented by the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley (ACCV), New Works: ACCV & Friends, in The Galleria at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts from May 6- June 30, 2010. The Hillcrest Center is located at 403 W Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, 91360.

An Artists’ Reception will be Saturday, June 12th, from 4-6 pm, and is open to the public, free of charge.

This is the first time that these five paintings have been shown on the west coast and I am proud to be a part of this. My work will be joining several other fine painters a sculptors from the this region. A portion or the proceeds from the sale of the art go to the ACCV to continue the support of the visual and performing arts in the Conejo Valley.

I have a personal connection with ACCV. My father, Dr. Richard G. Adams, was the founder and first president in 1967 of the organization which has been the core organization supporting arts in the Conejo Valley – a cluster of cities located where Los Angeles and Ventura Counties meet. By establishing partnerships between the cities, park and recreation districts and numerous performing a visual arts organizations in the ACCV has been a catalyst for a thriving art community and art educational programs.
