A rare landscape

Fall in Edna Valley

Fall in Edna Valley - Oil on Canvas - 16 x 12

I don’t do landscapes often. I love them and admire artists who do them well. But this scene inspired me. Edna Valley is a coastal valley near San Luis Obispo. It is filled with wonderful vinyards and wineries, large and small. In the fall the grapes are gone and the leaves turn a blaze of yellow, orange and red. These are the fall colors in Southern California which otherwise just turn shades of brown.

Followed the link from ArtBizcoach.com to see more. This certainly struck a chord with me. Familiar but can’t say exactly why. Very nicely done.
